LAMP Adult Learning is offering exciting opportunities for Learners in health and wellness programming.
There will be learning activities, a milestone and a certificate upon successful completion.
Session is starting April 15 from 3-4pm for 8 week
LAMP CHC is a multi-service; community based charitable organization in South Etobicoke that provides a wide range of programs and services to improve a person's health. Adult Learning Program at LAMP are for people who want to enhance their health, independence, employment or Education. This is the first step to learning essential skills for living. Outcome oriented programs for learners to achieve their personal goals. We are working with health in a holistic way with creative programs in reading and writing to improve your well-being with mindful techniques with reflective writing. Along with Digital Computers with Art, for self-expression and to limit stress, feel calm, and practice self-care as you learn the world of Digital Technology.
Build new and transferable skills that will help nurture a deeper connection to the land, community, and yourself.
Experience inquiry-based learning and community building in class, outdoors, on field trips; exploring art, technology, and embodiment practices.
Using smartphones, program-funded tablets, and a variety of materials.
Participants must be an Ontario resident, 19 years and up, have a valid SIN card, be fluent in English and have a smartphone.
Adult Learning Program at LAMP is launching a new iPad basic Digital Skills Program. Improve your Reading, Writing and computer skills! Small Group and In-Person Learning!
LAMP Adult Learning Programs:
1. iPad basic Digital Skills Program
2. Reading and Writing Program - virtual online platform through Zoom
3. Digital Computer Program - in person and virtual online platform through Zoom
Clients will need an SIN#, computer/laptop for virtual online programs and an email address. You must be an Ontario resident, 19 years and up. iPads will be provided in class for this new program.

PROGRAM TYPE: Community Based
SERVING: Anglophone
REGISTRATION PROCESS: Book an intake/assessment with the Adult Learning Program. Learners must commit to 2-3 hours per week for at least 6 months. Classes run 2 hour sessions weekly, days and evenings. They can stay in our program from 1 – 2 years. Programs that are short term for groups run for 8 weeks or more.
INTAKE: The program has continuous intake and learners can attend for as long as they need.
ELIGIBILITY: For Adults over 19 yrs of age, who are residents of Ontario (with a SIN card), and who speak English. For any adult who is not ready for large groups and main stream classroom learning. For those who have never gone to schooling and/or have barriers to learning. For online virtual classes learners must have access to computer, Wifi and their email address, to participate online, live instruction.
